The agriculture Rhum La Mauny comes from sugar cane grown on the island of Martinique in the Caribbean Sea since 1749. Agricultural rum is distilled from pure sugar cane juice, a procedure which gives the product rich organoleptic notes.

Count Ferdinand Poulain La Mauny bought land in the southern part of the island and began the production of rum that bears his name.
Still gather sugar cane in these same plantations for the production of La Mauny rum. The distillery's proximity to the fields of sugar cane allows the juice can be extracted on the day of harvest, immediately fermented and distilled.
The special climatic conditions in this part of the island of Martinique ensure a very rapid aging (effective up to 3 times higher than normal).
The rum is among the most drunk spirits in the world. But what distinguishes an agricultural rum, more valuable, from an industrial rum is the only alcoholic fermentation of pure sugar cane juice that allows to obtain a distillate with rich sensory feelings. During aging in oak casks these floral and fruity aroma blend with the scents of balsam wood.
The agricultural rums from Martinique are known to be among the finest in the world, infact La Mauny can be signed with the AOC recognition.
