Cusona and Guicciardini Strozzi have always been an anchor for the city of San Gimignano and wine of the territory. A beautiful area, one of the smallest DOCG , an ideal habitat to create wines of great tradition and international reputation.
The building complex of the farm was the scene of raids, the residence of the rulers, by the Lombards in Guelph, until in 1427 the castle becomes a fortified mansion.
The 1503 is a key date for the company's history: the first plant of a vineyard Vernaccia vine, by Agnolo Bardi, marks an important milestone for wine production and history of this wine that is produced only in San Gimignano, already known to the Court of Cosimo de Medici as a remedy for stomach fullness and nausea. Over time successive purchases of farms, land reclamation, improvements, agricultural experiments up to our days.
