Winemaking:
Marques de Riscal Tempranillo Reserva is made from grapes at least 15 years old that grow on limestone-clay soil of the Rioja Alavesa. This grape variety has good resistance in cask and aging in bottle, thanks to its excellent balance of acidity and tannins.
The grape varieties Graciano and Mazuelo, whose presence does not exceed 10%, give to the wine a bright color.
Fermentation occurs at a temperature of 26 ° C and maceration time does not go beyond 12 days. American oak barrels in which this wine is aged for about two years, gives it classic Rioja style: fresh, elegant, suitable for aging in bottle for many years.
Before being put on the market, the wine remains in bottle for at least a year.
